Tribute to Commissioners

L.V. DAVIS

L.V. Davis had been a part of Belmont Fire Department since its inception. He held many positions for the Belmont Fire Department on the Board of Commissioners. He also served as a volunteer throughout his time at Belmont. He was a Charter Member and served tirelessly. In 2014 the L.V. Davis Training Center was dedicated. The future plan for the Training Center is to have a multiple story smoke and burn building, confined space, rescue props, high level and trench rescue props, a compressed gas prop and a staging area for vehicle extraction training. L.V. was a great example of dedication and faithfulness.

LOU STEMPLE

Lou Stemple was a life member of the Belmont Fire Department. He begin his service to the citizens and stakeholders of the Belmont Fire Department in 1974. Mr. Stemple also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Gantt Fire Department. He was a firefighter in the military. He battled fires in the coal mines of West Virginia. He has served as a Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant and Captain while at Belmont Fire Department. He is a greatly missed man of Loyalty.

Ralph Bagwell- 10/22/1929-02/29/2012

Ralph Bagwell was a Charter Member of the Belmont Fire Department. He served as the Fire Police for the department during his entire time at Belmont Fire Department. He was a dedicated Firefighter until his untimely passing in February of 2012.
